NOTICE OF PUBLIC AUCTION OF LAND RENT
The Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Auction of farmland rent on September 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Boardroom, Courthouse, 302 E. Main St., Montezuma, Iowa, for cash rent of 25 acres more or less, located in Section 11, Malcom Township.
In addition to other lease terms, the following restrictions shall apply:
- Cash rent will be 5% down on acceptance of bid, 45% due March 1, 2026, and 50% due December 1, 2026.
- Tenant shall operate the farm in such a manner as to ensure that soil loss will not exceed 5 tons/acre/year.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to submit and sign the contract.
- The lease will be for one (1) year with the possibility of three (3) one-year extensions.

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any offers.
