Park Technician

The Poweshiek County Conservation Board seeks a qualified individual with necessary experience to serve as its Park Technician. This position will be responsible for park maintenance of Diamond Lake, a 660-acre park. This position will also be responsible for enforcing park rules which will require some irregular night and weekend hours. An individual possessing a Law Enforcement Certification will have preference. Additional responsibilities will include implementing management plans on outlying wildlife management areas as well.

Graduate from an accredited college with an Associate’s degree related to the conservation field or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in wildlife, biology, natural resources, park management, or related field, and two years’ experience in the natural resource management field.

$45,000 - $49,000/year with health benefits and IPERS
