Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey

posted on 11/12/25

Residents, businesses and community partners are invited to complete a survey about local disasters as Poweshiek County updates its Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is used by all cities and schools within the county.

Hazard mitigation is the effort to reduce loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters. It is most effective when implemented under a comprehensive, long‑term mitigation plan, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The survey can be accessed by clicking here. Please submit responses by December 5, 2025.

For more information, contact the Poweshiek County Emergency Management Agency.
