March Property Taxes are due by March 31st, 2026

NOTICE TO POWESHIEK COUNTY PROPERTY TAXPAYERS

   The second installment of Real Estate and Mobile Home tax is due by March 31st, 2026.  Interest of 1.5% will be added April 1st, 2026

   Its suggested that property owners return the payment stub from their statement along with payment.  By returning the appropriate payment stub or indicating their receipt number on the payment check the property owner will insure proper crediting o f the tax payment.  When making payment in person at the courthouse, please bring your payment stub along to insure fast, efficient and accurate service.

   Our website is www.iowataxandtags.org which allows you to pay 24 hours a day.  The internet payment system will accept both current and delinquent payment of property tax. Redemption of a Tax Sale Certificate must be taken care of at the Treasurer’s Office at the courthouse.
